At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, we believe that every child can learn and succeed when they are presented with the opportunities to do so.
We believe that teaching and learning in a Catholic school, is to strive to educate students in Catholic beliefs, values, practices and traditions within a faith-filled community.
We believe in creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students to help them achieve success. We understand that each student is unique and needs to be supported and engaged in an environment that embraces and caters for individual differences.
We strive to provide a stimulating, challenging and purposeful curriculum in a learning environment that enables students to develop their individual abilities and to strive for excellence. We consistently monitor students to ensure that they are successful learners, collecting and utilising data that allows us to cater for each unique learner.
At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, we are a professional, highly motivated staff, who endeavour to develop meaningful relationships with students, parents and the wider community. We are constantly reviewing and updating our teaching practices to deliver high quality instruction and to support our students. We view teaching as a rewarding experience, where we join children on their learning journey, and celebrate and support them along the way.
